The resultant vapor only contains the active components of the herb itself and none of the harmful substances that make smoking such a health hazard. The vapor tastes better and doesn't irritate the throat and lungs.

New vaporizer: Essential VAAAPP

The Essential VAAAPP EV100 is the latest addition to our range of portable vaporizers. This unique vaporizer was designed with the purpose of vaporising herbal concentrates and oils. It features a detachable disposable glass vial that can be easily loaded with herbs or oil of choice and allows you to quickly change from vaporizing one herb to another.

We have found it the Essential VAAAPP to perform particularly well, both with use of a regular type lighter and a torch lighter. Use of a torch lighter requires less heating time, but also involves a greater risk of combustion.
The glass vial cools down relatively fast, after about 2 minutes it can be detached. Moreover, the EV100 comes with a neat storage case that allows you to safely store the device and additional vials. This handy little vaporizer feels durable and firm and contains no plastic nor moving parts. The outer body is made out of anodized alumnium - an ultra safe food grade finish.

The Essential VAAAPP is available in 6 colors and comes with a 1 year warranty.

Aromatherapy

Although the vaporizers on this website are all modern inventions, the practice of extracting and then inhaling therapeutically useful compounds from plants and trees by using heat is a very ancient practice. In Persia, Egypt, Rome and Greece physicians learned to use the volatile oils of flowers and aromatic herbs for the promotion of healing and well-being. Lavender oil, for example, calms the nerves, improves sleep, and was used to disinfect sick rooms. Other herbs that have been popular throughout the ages are eucalyptus, patchouli, peppermint, rosewood, rosemary, ylang-ylang and myrrh. Many fragrances were also used in religious rites.

Evaporating the essential oils of these herbs in a potpourri or aromalamp is quite similar to what occurs in a modern vaporizer, whereas the burning of herbs as incense is more akin to smoking, and thus less healthy. Instead of using an aromalamp or hot stones, as the ancient Egyptians used to do, it's also possible to first extract the etheric oils through distillation. Early types of distillation were known to the Babylonians in Mesopotamia from at least 2000 BC.

Nowadays there are hundreds of etheric or essential oils available. These can be evaporated in some of our vaporizers. Vaposhop has made a selection of the most widely used oils, as well as some fragrant herbs.

When the Vaposhop went online it was only available in English and Dutch. Today we're happy and proud to announce that all texts have been translated into French.
